The co-founder of Arkham House was regarded by many as the best fantasy author around in the pulp era. While Derleth and Wandrei started Arkham with the goal of saving H.P. Lovecraft's work from oblivion, and Derleth was quite wiling to self-publish, Wandrei's work didn't get the coverage it deserved.
Fedogan and Bremer's first mission has been to salvage the Wandrei brothers' work, just as Arkham has carried the torch for HPL through the years. It hasn't always been easy, but most is still in print, in these collections.
